2024 Genesis G80 Review

If you aren’t as familiar with the Genesis name, you may not realize how these luxury cars always deliver the complete package. Every element is a top material, top technology, or combination of the two.

Interiors offer the contrast of Blue seats with a Maroon Brown. That maroon shade can be combined with Havana brown. In another subtle color contrast combination, you’ll find anthracite and beige.

With racy red or gray stitching, black quilted leather covers seats in the Sport trim levels.

New for 2024, the 3.5T Sport Advanced trim level adds a middle tier with more sporty elements in style and features. At the top of the trim ladder, the 3.5T Sport Prestige wears Nappa leather upholstery.

Steering wheels have power adjustments to put them in just the right place. With subwoofers tucked under the front seats, you can feel the base, not just hear it with the Lexicon 21-speaker system.

All automotive journalists seem to agree that the car is a good value from any perspective. US News and World Report praises the G80 for its gentle ride, speedy acceleration and upscale interior. They too call it a top contender in its class.

True Car has written that the G80 offers top-shelf comfort, exclusivity and performance. That should be expected from a luxury car, but the fact that it manages to do all that at a better price than rivals is really the clincher. They also write that it is more sophisticated than many rivals.

Kelley Blue Book has written that this sedan has gone a long way in establishing premium credentials for the newer Genesis luxury brand. They praise it as an assertive contender in its midsize sedan class. Consumer Reports calls it a formidable competitor.

JD Power has praised the technology as very easy to use. It ranked the 2023 Genesis G90 at #2 among upper midsize premium cars.
